Goal Setting, SUPPLEMENTAL New Year Exercise

NYR-GOAL-1

VERSION

Start the semester strong with a goal setting session that keeps students from feeling overwhelmed and helps develop successful habits. This downloadable resource introduces your students to the PACT framework (Purposeful, Actionable, Continuous, Trackable), a proven system for setting and achieving any goal.

Students will discover how to:

  • Define their purpose: Uncover what truly motivates them.
  • Set actionable goals: Break down big dreams into manageable steps.
  • Build continuous habits: Develop the daily routines that lead to success.
  • Track their progress: Stay motivated and make adjustments along the way.
  • Reroute around roadblocks: Anticipate and overcome obstacles to success.

NOTE: There are 2 versions of this activity. BOTH the free and paid versions include an instructor guide, student information handouts, and student worksheets.

The paid version has additional content including slideshows that correlate to the information pages, student instructions for using a habit tracker, and 8 different progress trackers for students to choose from.

This activity has students set goals using the PACT framework and anticipate potential roadblocks to their success. All you need are coloring supplies and copies.

You can even leave it for a substitute or utilize when you do not have the entire class for whatever reason.

THIS IS A DIGITAL DOWNLOAD. The PDF and PowerPoint files will be sent by download link through email.
