Once cut, the trees are bundled together for easier transport, with an average bundle size of 10 to 15 trees. Once bundled, close to 30 million real Christmas trees are loaded onto trailers with built-in nets to travel hundreds, or even thousands, of miles to reach retailers.

Consumers have a range of options, from purchasing trees at local farms to opting for pre-cut trees at big-box stores. The pricing of trees is influenced by factors such as species, size, quality, and location. In the end, over $1 billion in revenue is generated each year.
